Burel Fabric

The versatility of the burel fabric, along with its high acoustic performance, makes it the perfect choice as a natural and colorful interior design and architecture solution due to its multiplicity of applications, its ability to resist traction, rupture, pressure, and light exposure and its capacity to support intensive use without changing color and shape. It’s 100% wool, natural and biodegradable and an agroproduct. The nature of the fabric also makes it a recyclable product, without losing its acoustic or thermal properties, which is why we have come up with a line of recycled burel, encouraging zero waste. A super fabric that is also flexible, abrasion resistant, water repellent and very easy to maintain. Comes in 20 patterns, more than 80 colors and 4 different weights, 450gr, 600gr, 800gr and 1400gr, depending on its application. In the execution of burel pieces we use Bordaleira sheep wool, an native species of the Serra da Estrela Mountain Range.

Burel is fire-resistant, has a high impermeability (water-resistant), thermal and acoustic insulation, is hygroscopic, anti-electrostatic, abrasion resistance, tough, flexible, natural, an agroproduct and it doesn’t pile. It is also a recyclable and biodegradable product.
